Balance of Views

There are people who live and breath Microsoft and preach Microsoft and poo-poo any open source project. Then there's another group of people that believe Microsoft is the anti-Christ and loudly proclaim they have been freed by converting their entire desktop to Linux and all things open source.
I see value in both commercial software and open source projects, though I tend to lean toward open source whenever I can (because it's so much more affordable).
This blog is the best advocacy of a balance of views I've seen. Actually, it's not really about what the balance should be, but a wish that people on either extreme would be a little more open-minded.
